Jason graduated from Wichita State University in 2004 with a BA in Sport Administration. He began his career with the Y in 2003 as an intern and Manager on Duty for the South YMCA. In 2005, he left Wichita to become a Sports Director for the YMCA of Greater Kansas City. He returned in 2009 as the Sports Director of the new Andover YMCA. In that role, he’s served on the Andover Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and the City of Andover Parks Committee. He also earned the Annual Campaign Staff Campaigner of the Year award for the Andover YMCA, as well as the Kevin Padrnos award for the Greater Wichita YMCA.

Trey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Management with a minor in Business Administration from Friends University. Trey started as an intern with the Y in 2007 and began working as a Membership Associate at the East YMCA in 2008 where he was quickly promoted to Membership Director later that year.

Bruce Mace came to the North YMCA from Northern California in May 2012.  He has over 20 years of administrative and programming youth and adult sport experiences with YMCA’s, Higher Educational and Municipal Recreation Departments. Bruce earned his undergraduate degree in Leisure Studies and Sciences from the University of Oregon in March 1992 and he earned an Organizational Leadership Certification (Sr. Director Certification) from the YMCA of the USA in June 2008. He currently resides in Andover and is often seen riding his bike to/from his home to the North YMCA.  

Alex earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science with an emphasis in Kinesiology from Kansas State University in 2008. He started with the West YMCA in January of 2008 and shortly after became a full-time personal trainer. In November of 2013 he was promoted to Fitness Director at the North YMCA. He is responsible for overseeing personal/group training, the MY FIT program, and day-to-day operations on the fitness floor. Alex enjoys working with individuals and groups from all fitness levels and feels very confident he can assist them throughout their health and wellness journey. His specialties include: Weight loss, group training, boot camps, high intensity training, TRX, cardiovascular conditioning and beginner’s fitness.

Certifications:  YMCA Certified Personal Trainer and LIVESTRONG Certified Trainer

Leticia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Emporia State University and has been dancing since age five. She was captain of dance teams at both Emporia State University and Barton County Community College, and has personally competed in both New York and L.A. She’s been teaching dance and cheer for 10 years, including coaching dance and cheer for Emporia High School. Leticia is a certified National Dance Alliance Instructor and is also certified in CPR, First Aid and AED.

Dezert has been a Group Exercise instructor for the North YMCA since 2012 and is a certified yoga teacher with her 200 RYT from the School of Therapeutics in Kansas City. She received her bachelors from Fort Hays State University. She specializes in yoga for runners and helping others achieve their fitness goals.

 

Jamie Moore has been with the Greater Wichita YMCA since 2000 where she gained experience and training working in the West YMCA Kid Zone before coming to the North YMCA as Youth & Family Coordinator. Jamie is certified in CPR, First Aid and AED and Signs and Symptoms of Child Abuse.

Degree: Bachelor’s in Exercise Science

Certifications: ACSM- Health Fitness Specialist, Kettle Bell, YMCA Personal Trainer

Specialties: Kettle bells, sport specific, small group training, and triathlon training

 

 

Degree:  BA and MEd degrees in Exercise Science and Functional Aging, as well as an MS in Environmental Health.

Certifications: ACSM’s Health and Fitness Specialist and Cancer Exercise Trainer, as well as YMCA certified Personal Trainer, Pilates, Yoga, Group Exercise and Cycle, and LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Instructor.

Specialties: Active aging and exercise for cancer survivors.

Degree: Bachelors in Strength and conditioning and health and Physical Education, Tabor College

Certifications:  YMCA Personal Trainer

Specialties: Beginner fitness, group training, boot camps, weight loss, youth fitness, active older adults

 

Degree: Wheaton College and a MEd in Education from Slippery Rock University.
