Barry has been with the Y for more than 15 years. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fitness Management with a minor in coaching from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Barry spent 5 years at the Oshkosh YMCA as the Youth and Camp Director and 8 years at the Decatur County YMCA serving as their Senior Program Director. In 2008, Barry took a position as the Associate Executive Director here at the Northwest YMCA. He transferred to the East Y in 2009 to serve as Executive Director and returned in 2012 as the Executive Director.

Marci earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, with a minor in Business Administration. She also holds an Elementary Education degree from Augsburg College in Minnesota. Marci has been with the Y since 2007. Prior to coming to Wichita, she served as a Y Child Care Program Director in Minnesota. Marci is a child care trainer for YMCA of the USA and a certified instructor in CPR, AED, First Aid and O2.

Emily has served as the Aquatics Director at both the West and Northwest YMCAs. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Fort Hays State University and earned an Associate’s Degree from Barton County Community College. She is a certified Personal Trainer, Lifeguard, Lifeguard Instructor, Swim Instructor, Aquatic Manager, Fun Fit Instructor and Listen First Trainer.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from Wichita State University. His background includes personal and group training, assisted stretching programs, endurance programs, and sport-performance training. He’s also served as a Strength & Conditioning coach and an Assistant Coach in high school basketball. Certifications include: ACSM-HFS (American College of Sports Medicine Health Fitness Specialist), EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), YMCA Personal Trainer, CPR/AED, and First Aid.

Jeannie’s passion for group exercise started as a Y member in 1987. Three years later, she began teaching classes, and has taught at the West, South, Downtown and Northwest YMCAs since then. Jeannie teaches a wide variety of group exercise classes and holds certifications in Water Fitness, Step, Turbo Kick, Martial Arts, ZUMBA, Cycle, Pilates, CPR, AED, First Aid and O2.

Bradon is a Northwest Wichita native and a graduate of Northwest High School. He started with the Y in 2001 and has been involved with community recreation ever since. He graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Sports Administration and has been part of the Northwest Y team since it opened in 2006.

Hydi has studied dance for 24 years and competed for 8 years. She’s received numerous National Dance Titles and was a recipient of the NCAA All-American Cheerleader Award during all four years of college. Hydi has been part of the Northwest YMCA team since August 2006. She’s coached two competitive teams for the past 3 years - Limelight Dance Company and Storm Cheer – with each receiving a national title.

Jennifer is a graduate of Maize High School and Newman University. She’s a Professional Member of USA Gymnastics and has her Safety Certification through USAG. Jennifer was a competitive gymnast for seven years in Oklahoma and Kansas, and has coached competitive gymnastics for 9 years. She has coached 15 USAG Kansas State Champions and 5 Missouri Valley District Champions.

Candace joined the Northwest YMCA Neptunes staff after most recently coaching at the Masters level. As a swimmer, Candace qualified for Junior Nationals at age 12, was a Junior National Long Course Champion, a Senior National qualifier and an Olympic Trials qualifier. In college, she was Captain of her swim team and an Academic All-American. Candace holds a BS in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from Arizona State University.

Heather earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Friends University in 2008. She has been working in Early Childhood education for over 10 years and is dedicated to the enrichment of children’s lives. She was born and raised in Northwest Wichita and is excited to give back to this community. Heather is certified in CPR, AED, O2 and First Aid.

Bill is a graduate of John Brown University and has been climbing at the Northwest YMCA since 2006. He joined the climbing staff in 2007 as an instructor, and has been the climbing coordinator since 2008.
