Youth Fitness

Helping children develop healthy habits today will make a difference the rest of their lives.

Youth ages 13 & up can enjoy most Y amenities, including the indoor track, fitness centers, group exercise classes, family & lap pools, and gymnasiums.

Kids age 6 months and older can also start developing healthy habits with programs like swim lessons, gymnastics, dance, and cheer.

(Ages 6 -12) Downtown, North, and Northwest YMCAs.

Join certified Y Fitness Staff in this class where having fun can improve your health. Jam packed with games designed to improve strength, endurance and flexibility while developing life-long fitness skills! Starts in Sept. Included in membership.

Have fun in the pool, play basketball, racquetball and socialize with other families during open recreation times FREE with your membership.

For your child’s safety, kids under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a parent/adult (age 18 & up) when using a YMCA swimming pool unless in an organized, supervised program such as swim lessons. Children under the age of 8 must be in arm’s reach of said parent/adult at all times in the water. The ratio of children under the age of 8 to adults should not exceed 3:1 in non-program activities.

(Students Together Afterschool for Recreation & Sports) allows area elementary school students a chance to enjoy free supervised activities (gym, swim and more) once a week. Call 264-4066 ext. 5595 for more information.

(Ages 8-12). It’s best to start healthy habits early. Attend a free orientation, then use our kid-size, kid-friendly equipment to train safely and effectively. Offered at select Y locations.
