SPLASH

Our mission to build healthy spirit, mind and body for all takes us beyond YMCA facilities to reach out to individuals across the city with a variety of community engagement and outreach programs.

The Y's SPLASH Program provides an opportunity for 2nd graders from low-income elementary schools to learn basic life-saving swim skills through a free six-week program at the Y.

Many of the participants have never experienced swimming, so the Y conducts a yearly swimsuit drive August 6-September 8 to ensure everyone can participate without incurring costs.

SPLASH is offered at select schools in Wichita, Augusta and El Dorado from September-May each year.
