Enhance Fitness

Enhance Fitness is a proven senior fitness and arthritis management program that improves your endurance, strength, balance and flexibility. It reduces arthritis symptoms with safe, low impact exercises led by certified instructors in a relaxed atmosphere that promotes fun, laughter, friendship and smiles. This 16-week program includes pre- and post-program fitness assessments that measure progress.

A certified, trained instructor with special training helps bring out participant's best with one-hour sessions that include

  • 5-MINUTE WARM-UP - Gets the blood flowing to the muscles
  • 20-MINUTE AEROBICS - Gets participants walking and moving to lively music
  • 5-MINUTE COOL-DOWN - Relax the body while lowering heart rates
  • 20-MINUTE STRENGTH TRAINING - Soft ankle and wrist weights add resistance
  • 10-MINUTE STRETCHING - Keeps muscles flexible and joints moving

Throughout the session there are several balance exercises for core strength and agility as well as opportunities to socialize and make new friends with fellow participants.

Enhance Fitness offers rolling enrollment for participants. Locations and timing for current programs include:

  • LOCATION - East YMCA
  • DAYS OF WEEK - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • SESSION TIME - 1-2PM
  • LOCATION - Northwest YMCA
  • DAYS OF WEEK - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • SESSION TIME - 12:30-1:30 pm
  • LOCATION - West YMCA
  • DAYS OF WEEK - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • SESSION TIME - 1-2PM
