Our Child Care and Camp branch has hundreds of employees - full-time, part-time, and seasonal. While we don't have direct contact information for many of them, we do provide contacts for our leadership team including our:

ANDREA ELIOT / BRANCH DIRECTOR
Andrea holds a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management and Leadership from Friends University Wichita as well as an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education. She began her career at the Greater Wichita YMCA in 1997 as the Program Director for the East YMCA Early Learning Center. Andrea accepted the position as Branch Director for Child Care and Camp in 2016. She is dedicated to our mission to serve all and advocates at both the local and state level for youth development programming and the needs of Kansas families.
JON MCREYNOLDS / SENIOR PROGRAM DIRECTOR - Key Academy and Summer Camp
Jon earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Southwestern University in Psychology. He worked as a School Age Child Care Director at the Oklahoma City YMCA before joining the Greater Wichita YMCA in 2000. Jon Provides leadership to our school age team overseeing the Key Academy Before and After School programs, School Day Out Fun Clubs and summer camp programs, including Camp Hyde in Viola, Kansas.
DEBBIE OGLE / SENIOR PROGRAM DIRECTOR - Early Learning
Debbie attended California State University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. She is a dedicated advocate for children and families with over 30 years of experience. Working at the Mt. Diablo YMCA in California Debbie supervised both school age and early childhood programs. She moved to Kansas in 2013 where she supported families and educators as a family partnership coordinator for Early Head Start. Joining the Greater Wichita YMCA in 2016 Debbie's passion for youth continues as she oversees all of the Y's licensed early childhood programs and champions the free YScholars summer reading camp.
KELSEY MEYER / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Kelsey earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Friends University. She joined out Child Care and Camp team as the Administrative Assistant in 2019. Kelsey has a wealth of experience supporting a large corporate office both in customer service and human resources. She is an important part of our team coordinating the branch annual campaign, recruitment, training/certification records and service to our program participants. Kelsey has a passion for helping others and has done this through numerous community outreach projects.
SANDY KIMBALL / NUTRITION PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Sandy Studied Music Education at both Butler Community College and Friends University. Starting her career at the YMCA in 2005 as a group leader in our Key Academy Before and After School Program where she later took on the role of Site Director. Sandy has worked in all three of our key areas; After school, Summer Camp, and Early Learning. She accepted her current position in 2015 and her dedication to health and nutrition is a valuable asset to the team as she leads our nutrition services, oversees the Child and Adult Care Food Program, Summer Food Service and is project lead for the annual Healthy Kids Day event out at Camp Hyde.
LISA WHALEN / PROGRAM DIRECTOR - Child Development Centers
Lisa attended Butler Community College after high school and started her career at the YMCA as a membership associate at the West Branch YMCA. She joined the Child Care and Camp Branch in August of 2006 as a part time staffing coordinator and was promoted to Program Director over the Child Development Centers in 2019. Lisa is well connected in the YMCA movement and a member of the YUSA Hispanic Latino Leadership Network. She loves being able to support staff in fulfilling our mission and the opportunity to make a difference to students and teen parents in her programs.
JACKIE TANNER / ELC DIRECTOR, Dr. Jim Farha ANDOVER YMCA
Jackie completed her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2012 from Cowley County Community College. Jackie has worked in the early childhood field for more than 25 years, starting her journey as a family child care professional, moving on to working a child development center overseas, and as an adult education trainer in the Wichita area. Jackie joined the YMCA Child Care and Camp Branch in 2013 as the Program Director at our Andover Branch ELC. Jackie believes that strong relationships with a parent and child are the key to building a strong program.
KELLI MOUGHAN / ELC PROGRAM COORDINATOR, Dr. Jim Farha ANDOVER YMCA
Kelli has over 40 years of experience in the early childhood field. She has had many roles throughout her career: teacher, cook, assistant director and director. Kelli started her journey here at the YMCA in 2009 and was one of the first people hired when the Andover ELC opened their doors. She moved into her leadership role as the Program Coordinator in 2016. Kelli loves to spend her time in the classrooms and believes parent relationships are important when enriching young lives.
SARAH HARTLEY / ELC DIRECTOR, Richard A. DeVore SOUTH YMCA
Sarah completed her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2013 from Cowley County Community College. Sarah has worked in the early childhood education field since 2003. She joined the Greater Wichita YMCA with Child Care and Camp in 2013 and worked as both a teacher then site director in High School Child Development Centers. Sarah was promoted to her current position as South YMCA ELC Program Director in 2015. Developing strong positive connections is fundamental in both Sarah's professional and personal life.
MICHAELA WAHL / ELC PROGRAM COORDINATOR, Richard A. DeVore SOUTH YMCA
Michaela completed her Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Performance in 2015 from Ft. Hays State University. She joined the Greater Wichita YMCA with Child Care and Camp in 2018 as a Site Director for the Key Academy Before and After School Program and was promoted to her current position at the South Early Learning Center in May of 2019. Michaela's passion for youth development and positive energy are a perfect fit for out Y mission.
SHERRY SYAKHASONE / ELC DIRECTOR, EAST YMCA
Sherry is a dedicated early childhood professional who earned her Associates Degree from Butler Community College. Working in the field since 1994 she has both classroom and administrative experience. She joined the Greater Wichita YMCA Child Care and Camp Branch in 2007 and has built a strong team at East Early Learning Center dedicated to the families and children they serve.
KATIE SUTTON / PROGRAM DIRECTOR, SCHOOL-AGED PROGRAMS
Katie attended Brunel in London, England where she earned her Bachelor's degree in sports science. She joined Camp American, an international exchange program, in 2006 which brought her to the states. She worked Girl Scout camps in Northern California, 4H in Massachusetts, and then YMCA Camp Wood in Kansas. She joined the Greater Wichita YMCA in 2016 at our Newton Branch as the aquatics and youth development coordinator. Summer of 2017 she transferred to Camp Hyde to lead our summer aquatics team. As our Key Academy and Summer Camp Director Katie leads her team with positive energy. She is drawn to the outdoors and what she loves most about her work is giving kids the opportunity to build healthy lifestyles and get outdoors and explore.
CHRIS BROWN / PROGRAM COORDINATOR, SCHOOL-AGED PROGRAMS
Chris earned her Bachelor's degree from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Wichita State University. Her areas of focus were social work and ethnic studies. Chris has worked in public education and non-profit youth development programs throughout her career. She has worked in several YMCA programs including Teen Night, summer camp, and Key Academy dedicating over 20 years to the Y mission and youth development. In 2018 Chris accepted her current position as a Program Coordinator with Child Care and Camp. Chris's leadership inspires her team and her passion is evident through her commitment to the programs and families she serves.
CHRISTINA HAMM / PROGRAM COORDINATOR, SCHOOL-AGED PROGRAMS
Christina studied secondary education and accounting at Wichita State University and Butler Community College. She earned her Associate degree in 2009. Always having a passion for helping others she has worked with youth and disabled adults. She joined Child Care and Camp at the Greater Wichita YMCA in 2015 as a group leader in our Key Academy program. It didn't take long for her passion and talent with youth to earn her promotion first to Site Director and then to Coordinator. Christina loves being a role model for Children and is most comfortable being silly with the kids.
ANGIE ROBLEDO /PROGRAM COORDINATOR, SCHOOL-AGED PROGRAMS
Angie studied elementary and early childhood education at Eastern New Mexico University and Butler Community College. She has worked in child care and youth development for over 25 years as a preschool teacher, child care center asst. director, and latchkey director. Angie joined the YMCA in 2007 she is passionate about her work and advocates for her programs, children and staff. She is skilled at building relationships and always puts the needs of children first.
MARQUS WILSON / PROGRAM COORDINATOR, SCHOOL-AGED PROGRAMS
Marqus attended Western Kentucky University. His major was recreation administration but he also studied athletic coaching. He did his practicum in Bowling Green Kentucky where he coached track and field and later continued coaching both high school and middle school football and track. Before joining the Y Marqus implemented fitness curriculum in after school youth programs. He also worked with juvenile offenders for 7 years in Kentucky and then locally for JDF in Wichita where he mentored and provided recreation activities. He joined the YMCA as a coordinator in 2018. Volunteering with his dad in recreational sports as a young teen inspired him to pursue a career in youth development where he hopst to be able to give back and mentor youth like his father and coaches did for him throughout his life.
DANIELE COOPER / PROGRAM COORDINATOR, SCHOOL-AGED PROGRAMS
Daniele studied and earned a Bachelor degree in Biology from Grambling State university. Her degree opened a pathway for over 10 years of being an elementary school teacher. Loving to learn, Daniele earned a Master's Degree in Business to expand her knowledge outside of the classroom. Joining the YMCA in March of 2020, Daniele is excited to share her passion for working with children and showing them how great they can truly be.
