Shane Loy, Vice President of Operations - East Side

Shane is an Estherville, IA native.  He holds a degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Northern Iowa.  Shane began his YMCA experience during college at the YMCA of Blackhawk County where he worked as camp counselor, lifeguard, fitness, childcare programs, sports and membership.  He began his career with the Heritage YMCA Group in Naperville, IL as Program Director working mainly with children programs throughout the community.  Shane moved in to the role of Director of Childcare, Family and Community Outreach managing programs within the Naperville community as well as with the Oswego YMCA.   He held the role of Operations Director at a community outreach branch and membership branch before moving in to his current role at Andover.  Shane is married to Nicole and they have a 5 year old daughter, Ava, and recently welcomed Ayden to their family.

Elissa Knolla, Senior Program Director- Membership, Fitness, GX, Aquatics, House Keeping

Elissa is a native of Massachusetts and moved to Wichita in 2016 after spending 30 years as a military spouse moving all over the world with her husband (a Wichita native) and two children. Elissa holds a Master’s Degree in Human Relations and a Bachelor’s in Behavioral and Social Science. Elissa’s experience includes over ten years in the health and fitness field, most recently serving as the Center Director at Wichita’s Opti-Life Health and Wellness Center. She previously served as the Project Director for Youth and Family Services in San Diego, a Center Director for an overseas Navy Child Development Program, as well as positions working in programs that service children and adults with developmental disabilities. Elissa’s hobbies include fishing, travel and exercise.

Jennifer Weber, Administrative Assistant

Jennifer has lived in  Andover for over 20 years, and a Butler County Community College graduate. She is currently working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Non-Profit Organization Leadership from Fort Hays State University. She began her career with the YMCA as a Membership Associate in 2014, and started her current role at the beginning of 2016. She has been a community volunteer for many years, dedicating her time to organizations such as the Girl Scouts, Tornado Alley Young Marines, and Andover Public Schools. Jennifer is married and has three children. 

Ally Kaylor, Fitness Director

Ally is a Denver, Colorado native and holds a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas. Ally began at the Andover YMCA in 2014 as a Personal Trainer before accepting the position as Fitness Director in 2018. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA as well as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist. She holds additional certifications including USAW Sports Performance Coach, TRX Group Trainer, and BOGAfit Instructor. Ally and her husband, Shawn, are the parents of four fur-babies, Gunner, Jax, Ella, and Harley. 

Shannon Mallinson, Gymnastics Director

Shannon Mallinson has been a gymnast since age six. Since 1998, she’s coached gymnastics at the El Dorado and Northwest Ys and Sunrise Gymnastics. Before joining the Andover Y team, she had team members medal at local, state and national competitions. Shannon holds a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts with an emphasis on Psychology from Wichita State University. She’s also received certifications in Personal Training, USAG Safety, CPR, AED, First Aid and O2

Brian Davis,Sports Director

Brian, is an Emporia, Kansas native and holds a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Administration from Emporia State University. Before joining the Andover YMCA team, he previously served as the Sports Director at Newton Recreation Commission for 2 years. He also completed two internships at Fun Valley Sports Complex in Hutchinson, KS and Great Bend Recreation Commission. He has been a registered KSHSAA official since 2011 in Football, Basketball, Baseball and Softball. He has also worked junior college baseball. 

Kyle Doerksen,Sports Coordinator

Kyle is a Hutchinson, Kansas native and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from the University of Kansas. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Sport Management from Wichita State University. Before joining the Andover YMCA team, he previously worked in the Facilities and Events Office at The University of Kansas Athletic Department as an intern. He also has continuously been a part of a YMCA organization since age 15 where he began his first job as a Sports Official in Hutchinson, KS. He has also been at the South YMCA as a Sports Site Supervisor. Kyle is a KSHSAA certified official in basketball since 2018. He is happily married to his wife Angela.  

 Kealy Tully, Aquatics Director

Kealy is a Wichita native and has been a member of the YMCA for over 5 yrs. She holds a BA in Health Science from Wichita State University and is working on her Masters. Kealy has been a competitive swimmer for over 15 yrs, with state qualifications. She has worked for the Girl Scouts for over 10 yrs, with 5 yrs experience as a certified Lifeguard. 

Abby Baden, Swim Coach

Abigail Baden has been coaching for the Andover All Stars since August 2017. Coach Abby grew up in Wichita and started swimming at age 13 for the NW YMCA Neptune’s. Coach Abby’s favorite stroke is the breaststroke, and her favorite race to swim is the 200 Breast. Abigail’s favorite thing about coaching swim is getting to share my love of swimming with others. It’s fun to watch the swimmers progress and see them reach their goals. 

Abigail graduated from Wichita State with her Bachelors of Science in Social Work. 

Abigail and her husband, Matthew have one daughter Sophia. When Coach Abby is not busy at the pool or busy with family activities, she enjoys baking, reading a good book, and going to Colorado. One day she and her husband hope to own a cabin in Colorado so they can go hiking anytime they want

Kari Ames Youth & Family Coordinator

Kari Ames is a Friends University alumni and has been working with children of all ages since 1990. Kari began her Y journey as a dance and gymnastics instructor for the Northwest Y in 2006 and spent four years working in the corporate offices in Financial Development before coming to Andover. As a mother of four, she understands the importance of having a safe, caring environment for little ones to stay while the parent gets to recharge and invest in self-care to be the best parent possible.

Kristen Daniels, Group Exercise Coordinator

Kristen Daniels holds a Bachelor’s in Marketing from Pittsburg State University. She started her Y career in Nebraska as a Group Exercise Instructor before moving to Andover in 2007. Kristin holds certifications in Foundations of Group Exercise, Cardio and Step, Pilates, Personal Training, Reebok Cycling, Muscle Pump, Body Design, Ultimate Strength and Cardio, Gliding, Foam Roller Fusion, Silver Sneakers and Johnny G Spinning.  

 Austin Hoheisel, Membership Coordinator

Austin is a native of Wichita, KS and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Wichita State University. His Y journey began in 2016 as a Member Service Associate at the Northwest YMCA before moving into his position as Membership Coordinator at Andover in May 2019. 

Danni Hybsha, Dance Coordintor

I have been teaching at the YMCA for over 10 years. I did competitive dance for 14 years and danced for 2 years on a college dance team. I have a passion for helping children realize their full potential and attain their goals no matter how big or small

Kimmy Emmons, Personal Trainer

Bachelor’s Degrees from Kansas State University in Kinesiology and Human Nutrition

Certifications: ACSM  EP-C, ACSM CPT YMCA Personal Trainer, and Pilates

Specialties: Active Older Adults, Special Populations, Weight Loss, and Pre and Post Natal

Fitness Mission Statement: “Everyone measures progress differently, and my goal is to do whatever I can to help someone see progress based on how they measure it. That can be general health, weight loss, injury rehab, disease control or prevention, or anything that makes them feel better physically and mentally. The biggest reward of my job is helping someone increase his/her quality of life.” 

Mark Schock, Personal Trainer

Fitness Mission Statement: "I have been an active weightlifter/power lifter/bodybuilder for more than 40 years. During that time I have learned a lot about what to, and what not, to do in pursuit of a stronger and healthier body. I see my mission here at the Y as two-fold. First, to share what I've learned in those 40-plus years with anyone interested in improving their own strength and/or overall health. Second, to learn all I can that will help me to do a better and more thorough job in pursuit of that first goal. If I've learned anything at all it is that there is no end to what can be learned in this field.

Jenni Boyle, Personal Trainer

Fitness Mission Statement: "I enjoy encouraging others to work towards the best version of themselves.  I appreciate the challenge of working with current and chronic health concerns and incorporating a regimen that allows the participant to continue with their fitness goals.  I want everybody to have the opportunity for wellness as it benefits every facet of their lives.  Lastly, I like to empower those who have not developed a fit lifestyle to reach their goals and continue to set new ones."
