Private (1:1) Training

A YMCA Certified Personal Trainer will help you set goals and monitor progress with a custom-designed, three-month fitness plan that will improve strength, agility, muscle composition, and athleticism using the right mixture of aerobic, strength, and aquatic exercise. InBody scans, nutrition content and wellness coaching with Y professionals is included in Complete Training at no additional cost.

Group (2+) Personal Training

For couples, friends or those with similar training and fitness goals, we offer group training as a way of getting additional motivation from your workout partner and allowing trainers to challenge you both. InBody scans, nutrition content and wellness coaching with Y professionals is included in Complete Training at no additional cost.

Sports Performance

With Sports Performance training, young athletes improve their muscle mass, dexterity, agility, and physicality. Athletes will see an improvement in speed while changing direction, learn to jump higher, run faster, and improve other aspects of their game while using their body more efficiently.

Sports Performance training leads to reduced risk of injury. By combining aerobic exercise, strength and conditioning training, and information and insights - this program will help young athletes build a stronger base for athletic development.

How does Complete Training work?

Members interested in Complete Training can speak with any of our Personal Training staff or other branch staff or fill out our online Personal Trainer Request Form to get started.

Complete Training clients will receive an InBody Analysis Scan to set and review of goals at their first training session. Clients should also work with their assigned trainer to determine the best way to reach goals and to set expectations for mutual accountability. The fulfillment of Complete Training sessions is a joint responsibility of trainer and client.

Is Nutrition part of Complete Training?

Yes! Complete Training includes nutrition content and wellness coaching with Y professionals as part of our comprehensive approach to elevating your health and fitness levels. 

 

What can I expect with/from Complete Training?

Our Personal Trainers run their client engagements based on our established protocols. Your first Complete Training session should always start with a fitness assessment, a discussion of goals and expectations and how you can work with our training staff and use other Greater Wichita YMCA offerings (like open fitness center, courts, pools, group exercise classes, Nutrition Coaching and more) to advance progress outside of training sessions.

Once you begin to work with your trainer, he or she will help you perform the exercises correctly, efficiently and safely and demonstrate techniques where support is needed. Trainers can also help monitor progress and changes in behavior and physicality to help reach your goals.

Are your Complete Trainers certified or licensed?

Yes. All Greater Wichita YMCA fitness staff members have undergone extensive training for the fitness areas in which they work. These qualified staff members are available to assist you with the information and programs you need to see results and accomplish your goals.
 

How do I pay for Complete Training sessions?

You can pay for Complete Training in full 3 months at a time at the time of booking by cash, check (payable to Greater Wichita YMCA) or credit/debit card. You can also establish an auto draft to pay your Complete Training fees on a monthly and ongoing basis. Please note that cancellation of ongoing Complete Training must be done IN WRITING at least 30 days in advance to avoid incorrect drafting of payment. 

Are refunds or credits available for Complete Training sessions?

Unfortunately, no. Complete Training sessions and commitments are designed to be consumed within a stated period of time (varies by training type - see rate sheet and options for more information). If you have specific circumstances or other conditions that make finding the time to meet and use all sessions difficult, please speak with your trainer or other Y fitness staff members to talk about options.
