For Annalina, her experience working over the summer at Lavish Affinity beauty sanctuary through the YMCA’s Job Prep program has really allowed her to grow in her career goals.

“I love working with Lavish Affinity because it has given me the opportunity to learn valuable life and workplace skills every day,” she said. “I've learned how to better manage my money, work effectively with others and develop stronger communication skills. These experiences have helped me become more confident, responsible and prepared for future opportunities. I'm grateful to be part of a team that encourages growth, supports success, and believes in my potential.”  

Through Job Prep, Annalina was able to put the skills she learned in Job Prep classroom sessions into practice in a real work environment. Her story is a reminder that when young people are given the right opportunity, support and someone willing to believe in them, they can begin to see a future filled with possibilities.
