Debbi

When Debbi was diagnosed with cancer in June 2024, her world changed dramatically. The treatments left her so weak that she could no longer walk without a walker, and losing that independence was one of the hardest challenges she faced.

Over time, Debbi progressed to using a cane and decided to join the Andover YMCA, where she began working with Jenni, a personal trainer. Together, they focused on rebuilding strength, balance and confidence. The results have been life-changing.

Before working with Jenni, a fall often meant calling the fire department for help getting back up. Today, Debbi can get up and down on her own, something that once felt impossible.

While she has gained physical strength, the biggest transformation has been regaining her confidence and independence. She reclaimed the ability to live on her own terms.
