Robert Palmer

Robert has lived in Newton since 1997. Robert and his wife, Cheryl, have five grown children, two daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren. Robert started multiple businesses while in Newton, most notably Back Alley Pizza in 2015. Currently he serves on the Newton Chamber of Commerce and Newton Medical Center boards. He served in various ministry capacities for 20 years. He currently attends Newton Chapel.

Jamie Moore, Senior Program Director

Jamie has been with the Greater Wichita YMCA since 2000 where she gained experience and training working in the West YMCA Kid Zone before being Promoted to the Dennis Schoenebeck North Branch YMCA as Youth & Family Coordinator. In November of 2016 she was promoted to Youth & Family Director where she oversaw Youth & Family, Climbing Wall, and Martial Arts. In May of 2018 Jamie was promoted to Sr. Program Director overseeing Dance & Gymnastics, Sports, Aquatics, and Youth & Family Departments. In October of 2022, Jamie accepted the Senior Program Director position at the Newton YMCA and oversees Membership, Youth & Family, and Aquatics Departments. Jamie was born and raised in Whitewater, Kansas where she currently resides and enjoys spending time with family on their farm.

Katelyn is a Californian native and holds a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Bethel College. Katelyn began at the Newton YMCA in 2018 as a Personal Trainer before accepting the position as Wellness Director in 2023. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the NASM. Katelyn is also an assistant Cross country and Track and Field Coach at Bethel College. Katelyn has been an athlete all her life and excited to continue to help all people reach their fitness goals

Hannah Moss, Greater Wichita YMCA

Hannah Moss, Aquatics Director

Hannah was raised in Harper Kansas where she started lifeguarding at her hometown pool. She started her career at the YMCA back in 2019 as a lifeguard at The North Y. Hannah then transferred to the West Y where there were opportunities to grow her love for the community and aquatics. In January 2022, Hannah was named the Aquatics Coordinator at the Northwest YMCA, leading to her accepting the offer to be the Aquatics Coordinator at the Newton YMCA!

Jesus has been a part of the Newton community since moving to Hesston, Kansas in second grade. Jesus began his journey with the Newton YMCA in 2022 as a Membership Service Associate and was later promoted to Manager on Duty in 2023. With a background in coaching middle and high school football, as well as middle school basketball and track, Jesus brings a collaborative spirit and a commitment to community to their role.

Rachel began her YMCA career in 2022 as a Membership Associate, becoming a Manager On Duty and Mentor in 2023. She moved to Kansas in 2022 after working as an EMT for 10 years in Pennsylvania. She is passionate about helping everyone around her and making a safe environment for people to be their best selves.

Becky has been with the Greater Wichita YMCA since 2019. She started her journey as a Group Ex Instructor. In 2023 she started her journey to become a YMCA360 instructor. She pursued the YMCA LIVESTONG program and Personal Trainer in 2024. Becky has enjoyed becoming part of the Y Family and getting her whole family involved. She has set a goal to help people find community, help them reach their health goals, and improve overall wellness. Feel free to strike up a conversation when seeing Becky around the gym!

Jeff has been at the Newton YMCA since 2023 as a FFA and Personal Trainer. He went to Tabor College for Exercise Science. He was a dual sports athlete in tennis and soccer. He has worked with people of all ages and it is his hope to help people learn and implement all styles of training.
