What started as a group of moms who just loved to dance has grown into something truly special.

During COVID-19, the Cul-De-Sac Cardio Dance group began right in Stacy Mendez’ cul-de-sac, with Stacy, Amanda Connor and Tiffany Romero dancing together for movement, connection and a little joy during uncertain times with COVID-19 while the Y was unavailable. From those driveway dance parties grew a beautiful community built on health, friendship and fun.

Today, the cul-de-sac family has grown bigger than ever,  dancing five days a week at the Andover YMCA, welcoming children, adding instructors and opening their arms to anyone ready to move and belong.

As cul-de-sac family member Troy puts it: “I love the community because they are so welcoming and feel like a second family.”
