Chessney Doda

Chessney Doda and her homeschooled children, Dimitri and Zia, were looking for activities outside their home and began making the drive to the Northwest YMCA to go swimming. 

Soon, they started playing basketball and volleyball together as a family. 

After speaking with the branch’s gymnastics director, Chessney and her children visited the Thursday gymnastics and NinjaZone classes and quickly fell in love with the programs, making them part of their weekly routine. 

Today, they drive an hour one way each week to spend the day at the YMCA enjoying all it has to offer. 

As a homeschool family, the YMCA provides a place where they can stay active, make friends and build community.
