The Greater Wichita YMCA believes that organized sports have value far beyond the score at the end of the game. Sport - and being part of a team - benefits spirit, mind, and body through:
LEARNING Basics of the game including rules and how to play (swing a bat, make a pass, etc.)
IMPROVING Deepen skills through experience including playing, coaching, and game outcomes
BENEFITING Takeaways include leadership, patience, strategic thinking, and problem solving
EXPERIENCING Diverse people, experiences, and approaches toward a common goal - better play.
We offer a variety of sports - indoor and outdoor, on land and in water, for beginners and the experienced - at most of our area branch locations in Andover, El Dorado, Newton, and Wichita and at our YMCA Farha Sports Centers in Andover and Wichita.
