Giving to the Y is Giving Back to Your Community.

Since 1885, the Greater Wichita YMCA has been a place where our community comes together. It’s a place where families thrive and kids learn to be team players in sports and beyond. It’s a place where everyone, regardless of ability to pay, has access to world-class recreational opportunities, sports leagues and the region’s most spectacular fitness facilities and water parks.

But the Y is also a place where neighbors can be found helping neighbors, where all second graders can enjoy free swim lessons and every middle schooler has access to important after-school programs. It’s a place where your membership isn’t just something good for you, it’s something great for us all.

Where there’s the Y, there’s a place where all of us belong.

We know our fitness facilities are top-notch, but our real focus has always been, and always will be, on community building and service. The Greater Wichita YMCA serves more than 74,000 children, families and individuals every year through low- and no-cost programs, partnerships, community initiatives, income-based rates, and financial assistance for those who qualify. We are only able to do this through the generosity of our members and our community.

You Make More Possible

At the Y, we follow our mission to build healthy spirit, mind and body for all by reaching out to individuals across the city with a variety of community engagement and outreach programs. Here is an example of the programs your dollars can go towards to help support the needs in your community.
