Matt, who is from St. Louis, Missouri has been working for the YMCA since 2007 and for the Greater Wichita YMCA since 2020. Matt has experience in youth programming, camp, sports, operations, and aquatics. As a youth, Matt was able to participate at his local Y through the Annual Campaign so he knows firsthand how a YMCA can impact its community. Matt is married to Jill and they have 2 boys, Emmett and Tucker. Matt holds a degree in Physical Education from Lindenwood University.
Kasey Williams, Senior Program Director

Kasey has been with the Greater Wichita YMCA for twelve years and is very excited to be working with the South staff and community. Kasey has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Human Services and a master’s in organizational development from Friends University.
Jessie Sawhill, Senior Program Director
Membership, Group Exercise, Kid Zone and Housekeeping
Jessie started her career at the Greater Wichita YMCA in 2011 working at the Andover Y in member services. She also worked as a Fitness Service Associate for the South Y in 2012. She assisted in opening the new Downtown Y as the Membership Director in December 2012.
Following a different career path in marketing, she left the Y for two years. In 2016, she was excited to return to the South Y as a Senior Program Director. Jessie has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Friends University, and she studied at Wichita State University in the Master of Arts in Communication program. She is married and has a pug named Sweet Pea.

Carol started her career in fitness and wellness as a Personal Trainer in 2012 working at the Heskett Center at Wichita State University. Joining the YMCA in 2021, she is putting her knowledge and experience to good use by helping further the mission of the YMCA. She has worked in a variety of settings and in many rolls including group fitness, lifeguard, rock wall, and summer camp counselor.
For formal education, Carol has earned a bachelor’s of Communication from Wichita State University, a Master’s of Sports and Recreational Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Transdisciplinary Childhood Obesity Prevention from South Dakota State University. She has also sought out many other certifications in the health and wellness field, including Personal Training, Group Fitness, and a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training to list a few.
Specializing in special cases, Carol enjoys working with individuals to help them find the right fit and enjoy exercising. Her passion emerged during her first year at college, when she took action to get healthier one step at a time, fighting her obesity. Since then, she has been a proponent of fitness and wellness, specifically helping others to find ways to engage in healthy behaviors to improve their overall fitness and wellbeing.
Caitlin Craig, Dance/Gymnastics Director
Caitlin began her career with the Y in May of 2016 as a dance and gymnastics instructor. She graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in dance. Caitlin is passionate about reaching the youth in our community and helping to instill lifelong skills and values in them.
Jessi Coleman, Aquatics Coordinator
Jessi began her career April 2009 right here at the Richard A. DeVore South YMCA as a lifeguard. She has filled many important roles throughout the years, and she is very excited to be our Aquatics Coordinator. Jessi is pursuing her degree at Wichita State University. She is very passionate about water safety and the impact of swim lessons.
Lindsey McCartney, Group Exercise Coordinator
Lindsey graduated from Wichita State University with her degree in Engineering. She worked as an engineer for a few years before deciding serving people better suited her. Lindsey is very passionate about inspiring others on their fitness journey.
Kelly Homan, Sports Director

Kelly has over 10 years of experience in organized sports between interning with the KJCCC, Wichita Sports Commission NBC World Series. Kelly worked as the Sports Coordinator at the Northwest YMCA before transitioning to the South YMCA as the Sports Director.

Alyssa started her career with the Greater Wichita YMCA in 2017, over time she has worked in Gymnastics, KidZone, Fitness, and Membership. During the summer she is also a FunFit instructor to promote fitness in the youth population. One of her main focuses is to incorporate healthy spirit, mind, and body when training. Alyssa is an undergraduate student at Wichita State University majoring in Athletic Training and minoring in Sport Management. Her goal is to help you reach your fullest potential while prioritizing physical and mental health.

Aaron graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Sports Management. He earned his ACE Personal Training Certification in 2019. Aaron has gone through his own fitness journey and has lost 70lbs, and has since become a professional wrestler.

I started my fitness journey in 2011 when I joined the Y and have since then managed to lose 147 pounds. Started as a group fitness instructor in 2012 at the local city recreation centers and began in 2013 at the Y. My journey is not complete, but my goal is to help people to get to where they want to be in their own personal journeys.

Brandyn earned an Undergraduate Degree in Physical Performance and Sports Studies. He strives to use his knowledge to help others achieve their goals. Brandyn believes in helping others build confidence and self-esteem by achieving those goals. He became an ACE Foundations of Strength and Conditioning Certified Personal Trainer through the YMCA in 2021. Being an athlete for years, he knows the “ins and outs” and everything in between when it comes to physical performance. Even through his time as a student athlete at Southwestern College, Brandyn has learned the importance of motivation and being kept accountable.

Jayron began working out at an early age for sports but had to stop due to injury. He ended up in a deep depression, but happily, he discovered that working out helped him tremendously. Since then, Jayron hasn’t been able to go a day without thinking about fitness. Soon he felt compelled to assist other in discovering their love for fitness and in other enjoying the benefits that fitness brings.

Catherine Seals, Branch Director, Farha Sports Centers
Catherine graduated in December 2008 from Wichita State University, earning her MA in Sports Administration. Catherine began working for the YMCA in June 2007 as a Site Supervisor at the Farha Sport Center. She joined the West YMCA in November 2009 as the Sports Coordinator, before coming back to work as the Sports Director at the South YMCA & Farha Sport Center in January 2011. In 2014, she transitioned to full time Director of Basketball Operations until May 2018 before accepting the role of Senior Program Director. She remained in that role until January 2021, when she accepted the role of Branch Director at YMCA Farha Sport Center.
