School Day Out

The Greater Wichita YMCA’s Child Care and Camp Branch offers SCHOOL DAY OUT during short, scheduled school closures. Parents can keep their schedules while kids spend time with friends while certified child care staff oversee educational, fun, inclusive activities with a healthy breakfast and afternoon snack provided (kids must bring lunch daily).

Any student 5-12-years-old, enrolled in Kindergarten and above at ANY school, can participate in SCHOOL DAY OUT at ANY location but advanced registration (including KEY Academy participants) is required. School Day Out dates and program sites vary by school district. 

Fall Break Club

Parents can keep their schedules and kids can spend time with friends and peers with certified child care staff overseeing educational, fun, inclusive activities with a healthy breakfast and afternoon snack provided (kids must bring lunch daily).

Any student 5-12-years-old, enrolled in Kindergarten and above at ANY school, can participate in BREAK CLUB at ANY location but advanced registration (including KEY Academy participants) is required. Fall Break Club is offered 11/22, 11/23 and 11/24, program sites vary by date. 

Winter Break Club

Winter Break Club is offered 12/17 (all spots filled), 12/20-12/23, 12/27-12/31, 1/3-1/4, program sites vary by date.

Field Trip to the Sedgwick County Zoo (depart 10:00 AM; bus returns at 3:00 PM)
Bring: Lunch 

Wednesday, March 16
Theme: Luck of the Irish (Celebrate the Irish holiday with crafts, and STEM challenge to save the gold at the end of the rainbow)
Bring: Lunch, Swimsuit

Thursday, March 17
Field Trip to Camp Hyde (depart 10:00 AM; bus returns at 3:00 PM)
Bring: Lunch 

Friday, March 18
Theme: Strum N Drum (Unleash your inner rock star, perform in a lip synch /air guitar battle and build some instruments)
Bring: Lunch, Swimsuit
