Basketball

Boys & Girls | Ages 3 to 6th grade

Leagues feature:

  • 6 games per season with practices
  • Boys Teams and Girls Teams
  • Volunteer coaches
  • Focus on fundamentals and new skill development
  • All players play a minimum 1/2 of each game
  • End of season Tourney for 1st -7th grade if possible.

Football

Boys/Girls grade 1st-6th

Football Registration Forms can be picked up at the YMCA

League feature:

  • Games are on Saturdays
  • 7 games per season with practices
  • Volunteer coaches
  • Focus on fundamentals and skill development
  • All players play a minimum of 4 downs per half
  • Games played at Home and Away sites – 33 towns
  • Teams made up through a draft by School Districts
  • Play in the Mid State Football League. League website is  midstatefootball.com
  • Bowl game at the end of the season – fundraiser

Soccer

Y sports nurture the potential of your kids by emphasizing fun, skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork in a positive environment.

Learn skills and build character while staying active, having fun, and making friends! Our programs progress with your needs and abilities, from introductory to competitive.

T-Ball and Machine Pitch Baseball

T-ball: Age 3-4, 5-6
Machine Pitch Baseball: Age 6-7, 8-10

League feature:

  • 6 games per season
  • Games played during the week
  • 1 practice per week
  • Volunteer coaches
  • Focus on fundamentals and new skill development
  • All players play a minimum 1/2 of each game
  • Teams are put together by the YMCA

Gymnastics

Gymnastics offers many hours of fun, fitness, flexibility, coordination, strength, agility and balance

Recreational Classes: Our program offers 28 recreational classes that are offered every six weeks.  We offer these recreational classes year around.

Competitive Team: We also have a Competitive Team that trains year around.  We have team tryouts in the month of May.  We work on our skills during the summer months and then start working on routines late summer.  Our competitive team usually hosts a meet once a year here in Hutchinson!

Equipment is only to be used by Gymnastic Instructors while they are teaching classes.

Leotards and shorts are for sale in Cathy’s office.

From infants through active older adults, we have classes that teach how to start and improve swimming skills to be more comfortable and confident near and in the water.

Saturday Night at the Y

FREE FOR MIDDLE SCHOOLERS | YMCA MEMBERSHIP NOT REQUIRED

Rest easy knowing that your child is enjoying their Saturday night at the Hutchinson YMCA. After normal business hours we open our doors to area middle schoolers where they can play basketball in the gym, workout, swim and more.

DATE: 2nd Saturday of Every Month Starting October 8, 2022
