Indoor Cycling Classes in Wichita and surrounding areas

If you're seeking the perfect mixture of low-impact cardio, endurance training, and aerobic exercise, cycle classes at the  YMCA may be a great fit for you. We offer a wide variety of these classes to engage and challenge members of all fitness levels. Whether you want to build muscle with a power-based cycling class or focus on cardio and aerobics with a rhythm-based spin class, you'll find great opportunities here.

New to Cycling? What to Expect

First thing's first: dress for the occasion! Wear a breathable top with gym shorts or leggings that won't get in your way while you're cycling. Footwear is equally important; choose a comfortable, well-fitting pair of athletic shoes, or specialized cycling shoes if you have them.

Arrive early for your cycle  class so you have time to set up your bike. Don't worry, our friendly instructors will help you with this. During cycle classes, you should focus on controlling your own resistance and intensity to get the best workout possible without overdoing it.

Our Cycling Styles

Cycle BEATS

Cycle BEATS is a music-driven ride that transforms your workout into a fully immersive rhythm experience. Each segment of the class is guided by the beat, with cadence, tempo, and transitions all timed to the soundtrack. Riders move through climbs, sprints, and intervals in sync with the music, creating an engaging, high-energy workout that feels more like riding to the rhythm than traditional cardio.

Cycle FORCE

Cycle FORCE is designed for riders who want to focus on power and performance with measurable progress. This class emphasizes resistance, output, and cadence, helping you track and improve your effort using real-time metrics. Expect structured intervals that push limits and build power, delivering results-driven exercise for those who want to improve their cycling performance.

Cycle Fusion with Strength

Cycle Fusion combines indoor cycling with either strength or core training to create an efficient, total-body workout. In these cycle classes, you'll start with a cardio-focused ride to elevate your heart rate, then transition into targeted exercises off the bike that build muscles or reinforce core stability. The Greater Wichita YMCA's Cycle Fusion classes are an efficient way to improve your endurance and strength in a single, well-rounded workout.
